No matter how quick and talented he is or how sticky his hands are it's still a big adjustment going from a small school to the NFL. Showing up and being unstoppable against OSU is a sign of great potential but at this level it still has to be groomed before it's tapped.
And even after that the team still has to scheme him so he can be productive within his capabilities. Welker was originally miscast and so misused by San Diego they cut him. Miami picked him up and used him primarily as a return guy but little as a receiver and they ended up trading him to the Pats. Belicheat saw his potential as slot guy who Brady could really connect with and turns the kid into a potential HOF player.
I'm not sure Braverman is quite ready for the NFL or for the Bears to have designed ways to make him as productive as he can be in this offense yet. But I do think both will come.
