Depth is def. gone after retirement of Ramirez and Grasu's injury
I re-watched the starters play against the Pats last night. The OL looked pretty good tackle-to-tackle. The current Bears roster lists 10 non-starter players at OL. Do any of you know if there's a decent backup in the group? Here's the overall OL roster (it includes starters and still has Grasu on it):
And this is what a three month old baby will do to one's awareness. I recognize half these names. I knew about Adams and Siluatu. The rest I am blissfully ignorant.
If I get a chance I'll try and breakdown just the insane amount of turnover that has happened since last year, let alone 2 years ago. The turnover has been absolutely insane.

I think Weaver could be ok too. And please dont remind me of that '3 months' period... sad part is its gonna happen again for me, soon. broken, beat and scarred

The guy I am rooting for is Cornelius Edison. First, just to have another Cornelius on the roster. But primarily because he was the FCS Rimington Award winner his senior year. That is given to the best center in FCS college ball.
I am of the same mindset as Soul on this (yes, it worries me too). I am in no way putting Lanford down, nor am I saying he does not have the ability to be special, but I did not see what I thought was a special back out there. I saw a good back that broke one run. Now, if he continues to break a run each game, that will be different but his UPC is really not that impressive is you take away his one run. Let's see what he does safer about 4 games in the real season.

Goes back to my recently new view on the Bears, prove it on the field. I'm trying to hold my speculations of what a player will be, or what the coaches might do(outside of history/past nfl performance) before I assume there will be greatness.
If you watch / listen to the dipstick MEdia in Chi , you'd think that Langford is a gigantic step down from Forte , that he " can't do this and can't do that " and blah blah blah . All this is based on what exactly ? We haven't 'seen' enough of him to actually 'know' what he's capable of yet . I don't honestly know what I see yet tho I do see little flashes of Neal Anderson here & there . I think everybody who thinks they already have him figured out are fos . I'm reserving my opinion till after this season .
