Yes, like most people, I have a lot of demands on my time and I just can't get everything done I'd like to so when it comes to recreational things to do, if it is not fun, I just don't spend my time doing it. I've called it the environment or atmosphere.... whatever you like. If that aspect of a board is not right, I don't bother. I don't want to one up anyone on toughness or knowledge and don't want to watch it happen in front of me over and over to others. They say this group is only serious football, but I find just the opposite. I think they think they are being funny on the other site, and they probably are, but it does not suit my type of humor so I am not entertained. In the end, I could find no reason to spend time there and I have a short fuse for stupidity, so I knew if I spent any real time there, I would be the one to go off on someone and I'd be the one banned. I was not going to let someone come into what used to be my home and suck me into getting myself banned while they stayed in my old home and watched me getting carted off into cyberjail. Wasn;t going to happen, so I just stopped going there. That's my short story. Soul, please add a few more pages to this if you like!

That was an HHM thing if I'm not mistaken. I didn't really read most of what he said, but I remember some stuff about recipes and maybe some stuff about him being a mod or something on another site. Putting the two together, maybe he is a mod on a recipe site of some kind. Who knows.
But yeah, everyone seemed to get criticized when it went off topic in a way that did not please HHM. However, I don't remember him ever being called out for taking things into the recipe realm. Funny how I truly don't give a shit yet I continually get sucked into it, lol. I think more just commiserating with like minded people, but honestly it seems that getting the board to change the way it has was intentional, so what more can you really say? It is the way they want it and more power to them. If the owner wants it a certain way, he should make it that way and they did. I really have nothing to say about it and I'm happy here, so whatever.... It really doesn't affect me.
A true shaming? Oh, I doubt it mp. That takes emotional maturity, some intelligence, and a conscience.
And it assumes the actions were not intentional. A bunch of orphaned posters arrive at a new board with an established social order and strong established membership and systematically (it appears) drive all the established members out. And then they are truly sorry.
