Sad reality, until Poles gets fired. This team will continue to be below .500. He's a trash GM.
You might be correct, you might not. That's unknown at this point because the vast majority of GMs don't get fired after just 3 years and 1 HC. And its virtually unheard of to fire a GM 1 year into a new rookie QB he drafted #1 overall.
Guys, THAT'S JUST NOT GONNA HAPPEN. Ok, I'll make one tiny exception -- if Poles refuses to fire Flus out of misplaced loyalty to their friendship then Warren should fire all of them. That won't happen though -- Poles knows he f'd up with Flus and he knows that Flus is obviously not "the guy" at HC for 2025 and beyond.
He is gonna get one more shot with a new HC (and of course he's gotta go all-in on OL) this January.
But damn, what looked like an offseason for the ages last year has turned into an absolute disaster.
Poles record speaks for himself. He never had a winning season as a GM. He's regressing at this point. He lost the locker room. He passed up on Jim Harbaugh for his best friend Flus. Patriots and Cardinals were a worse team last year and beat us. It doesn't take 4 years to build a great team.
I do think that some of the problems can be fixed with simple changes to play calling. For example, don't go back to back deep balls when the offense isn't producing, your o-line is tired, and you're backed up to your own 25.
I like the look of our offense when Kmet is getting involved up the seam and we feature the run game. Things run much smoother.

Poles doesn't have "a locker room", dude. That's for coaches.
Year 1 was a total teardown. This is the first season where you could reasonably hope for competitiveness.
Come on, dude, this is freakin' silly. I know we all are frustrated but this is just ridiculous stuff here.
Just watch the Flus press conference. Two things he said over and over:
1. We’re going to look at everything. 2. We have to play complementary football.
He was invited to throw Waldron under the bus but declined. (See #1 above.)
They're gonna have to "look inward" like Eberflus mentioned last week. Look inward boys, and that will bring the wins. I think it must be some Jedi mind trick (very powerful).

If coaches are looking somewhere, try looking in the mirror.

Maybe they can look in the mirror and inward at the same time. Maybe using a mirror, Flus can give himself a procto exam. Maybe he can pull something out of his ass and win a game.
