I wonder if Cunningham is a factor at all in helping Poles at all in these things? I would hope that he'd be a reality check for Poles. I say that because Cunningham seems like a football-smart guy. But then again, Poles needs to listen for input to be effective. I was remembering how Cunningham had to talk Poles out of shooting himself in the foot in the last draft (trading up in the first round).
I've always had the impression that Cunningham is a sounding board for Poles. Flus keeps saying that he discusses with management but the decision was his. Having said that, if management gives you the vibes they want to see things go a certain way and you go the other. It had better succeed or it is a career limiter
