I am in the fence on this one. IMO, they are tougher than GB so I thought a loss for sure. But now that they seem to be able to score, it's a possible win. However, you have to take the coaching under consideration and Flus is a negative effect on the outcome. Not trying to be funny or snide or anything. Really trying to be objective here. He has actually lost a few games for us with his decisions. CW has actually put us in a position at the end to win a few.
If I had to guess, I think we have a good game and lose in the end. For the way this season is shaping up, I'll actually be ok with that if I see growth in CW.

I was thinking along those lines too, BIH. Close but a loss. I'm thinking something like 24-17 Vikings win. And, like you said, if CW continues to make progress, hey, I'll be okay with that. I keep wondering if the Bears could end up keeping this coaching staff another year if the Bears get a few wins now. That scares me half to death.

You are not alone JABF. I think a lot of us feel the same
I hope CW keeps moving up and somehow we also lose every game. I want to see Flus completely humiliated and yes he fully deserves it.
Other than “learning curve”, why should I trust that Poles will hire a better coach than Flus or even recognize one?
Same applies to the OL he brought in. A little update from the Seahawks forum today. After laying out for a year, right tackle Abe Lucas came back yesterday matched up against Nick Bosa. Abe graded out highest of anyone on the OL (pass=74, run=79). Seahawks drafted him right after Poles drafted V. Jones. butkus would love Lucas. He’s a master technician. I watched him closely yesterday.

I dunno man, but do you have a better idea? They're not gonna let one of us pick the new HC so what else do you suggest?
Maybe Warren will fire Poles too but I doubt it. There are reasons NOT to do that--do you realize that?
When you bring in a new GM they tend to want "their guys" and they tend to move off the prior GMs players fairly quickly. Do you want to do another mini-rebuild just when we are trying to get the rookie QB right? Come on...
I know you hate Poles and yeah I'm really annoyed with him too right now, but this is ridiculous. The McCaskeys are so dumb as football owners they are gonna have be dragged into just firing Flus. They aren't gonna fire a GM who's only in his 3rd year.

I'm not sure that you should. The only glimmer of hope I have is IF Poles was given a choice of a few coaches and he had to pick one. That has almost become urban legend. I read that and I also remember reading that he had his choice of whatever he wanted. Both could be true. Management had gone through and vetted three guys and they may have said something like "hey we went through an extensive process and narrowed it down to these three that look really good but you can do whatever you want". Being new and wanting to be on the good side of his new owners, being short on time and thinking, hey.... they did all the work for me. I can take advantage of that and if the guy is a dud, they can't blame me too much.
It is hard to really know the true story, but my point is that if Flus was not really his true choice, maybe we stand a chance. But then I go back to his retaining Flus when he could have had Harbaugh and I lose faith again. Bottom line is we have no idea how this is going to pan out. All we know for sure is that the HC hiring record has been dismal.

Warren is trying to find out if the league will let him hire a lakefront to be HC. Hopefully he can stop his infatuation on that long enough to help with this. Only thing is, I'm no longer convinced of his acumen.
