I can't believe I'm saying this once again. I honestly thought we would be .500 or better this season. The real question is do we tank for a better future.
If we can get a top 5 pick and get the best OT in the draft to help protect and guard Williams. I see that as more of a net positive than winning a few meaningless games with the chance of keeping Flus and even Poles another year.
The Bears are probably going to do that unintentionally. They are not going to win any of these remaining games. The season has always been about developing Caleb Williams... at least for me. Do that. I'm fine if they lose out the season in the process though.

I HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE being in this position YET AGAIN.
Once again, meaningful football is over before Thanksgiving. So ****ing sick of this bullshit.
If not for Caleb and the need to keep his long term trajectory upward, yeah I would be hoping we lose out. For the improved draft pick, sure, but mostly because I really want to see Flus completely humiliated so there's zero chance the buffoons that run this clown college can keep him.

No. Anyone suggesting that anything be done to lose games which will only result in Williams not developing further should be banned. Unless of course you think he should sit for the rest of the year, in which case you should also be banned.
This shouldn't even be up for discussion. I'd delete the thread.

Is there a way to ignore threads?
No one LIKES this. We all HATE it.
I'll put it this way: I want to win the max number of games that still results in Flus getting fired. I'm afraid this clown school franchise might keep him out of cheapness if he happens to win a few.

Should they tank the season?
Isnt it "Can they steer the Titanic back to shore after hitting the iceburg before it breaks apart? Oh, and the captain will repeatedly make poor decisions to speed up the ship sinking."
How can they win the upcoming games? They can't beat bad teams, let alone ones with a winning record. They can't win close games, and Eberflus can't stop stepping on a rake on the sidelines when they could win.
I'm so glad Poles didn't trade away our second rounder again this year.

LOL, hey, it's vintage MOTM... if this is the worst thread we see people post here this week then it's a good week.
Yeah, I'm going to the game this Sunday and don't even want to. We are just gonna watch but not really care other than hopefully seeing the QB look good. I honestly don't care about the score.

Absolutely yes.
There is no point in winning meaningless games. If we rip off five wins in a row Eberflus sympathizers will pound the table to keep him and here we go with the arguing.
Then we watch the franchise OL prospects go before us in the draft.
Lose out. Keep developing Caleb. Fire Eberflus. Draft the best OL prospect we can in the first. And yes, if a franchise IOL is there at 14 or wherever we draft take him. I have no issue drafting a franchise IOL high up in the first. Obviously my preference is LT but if those are gone I’m fine with a franchise IOL otherwise trade down.
Never want to L, so my answer is no. But we will lose a LOT of games before season ends. Btw, our OL wasnt that bad last game. With our first 3 picks I would go OT, DE and IOL.
