Do we know which ones he ran incorrectly were option routes? I don't.
Well the one that lead to an INT apparently was.
And you know this for a fact? How? How do we know what the pay call was? Since Cutler made the call and he seemed to think it required KW to run a 15 yard out because that's where he went with the ball there's probably as much or more evidence supporting the fact that he simply quit on the route. Quitting was NOT an option. LOL
As of today when players were available for interviews again even White seem to have admitted that saying it can't happen again. Of course he said that once before too so maybe it's a universal apology and each mistake is unique? Who knows what the kid thinks by now.
Quote by White; White agreed with Cutler’s assessment. “I should’ve kept running out like it was drawn up,” White said. “So, it was a look that we hadn’t seen and I should’ve kept running out and tried to make a play. But those are mistakes that happen. But they obviously can’t happen again. I just have to move on from it.”
Passrush was very very weak. Brock had all day, if they give that to Wentz again, he will probably find someone who is open. We need Young/Houston/Floyd to show more up, while McPhee is out.
Well when you leave your 2 best pass rushers from last year off the field for the majority of plays, what do you expect from the pass rush?
Hard to call either guys busts, Whitney is a perfect example of a guy having the light click on 3rd year, was he a bust the first 2 years? They are kids learning to play in a mans sport w/men. Give them time to develop, not everyone is Aaron Donald or Suh.

Truth. Floyd didn't have a great game but he looked fast and energetic and intelligent. White needs game reps. You can stare at paper and film your whole life but until you get on the field it's just abstraction. Let's check back at the end of the season. In the meantime, let's hope our coaches quit Being dumb fucks.

Pretty sure it was mentioned in one of the articles. I could be wrong but I could have sworn I read that.

I imagine that most players in the NFL wish they played as well as Floyd did in his first game. Was anyone expecting Von Miller from Floyd in his first game? He held his own, I didn't see any glaring mistakes, and even had a few great plays. Total bust, right?

I think that's the point a lot of are making. Why play a rookie who does need time to develop some pass rush moves and intellect to go with his speed in favor of Young and Houston and then say you were unimpressed with the pass rush?
Sure, Floyd has to play some to get better but 80% of the snaps on defense? Both Fox and Fangio admit that was overboard despite the fact that the defense was on the field for a shit load of plays. So there were plenty of opportunities to sub.
It's like the polar opposite of the logic Fox used to explain why Langford got all but one carry on offense which was something like "well we didn't have many running plays". I really can't make sense of their personnel packages for that game at all.

White said he thought he was supposed to sit the route if the Safety came off of him in coverage but it seems he misinterpreted what that meant. He said they gave him a look he hadn't seen before whatever that meant. I think when in doubt, run what was called and don't over think before you have enough of a rapport with your QB to free lance a route. JHMO

No one called him a bust Mike. What has been said is that he played reasonably well but overall it was a middlin' performance for a guy who was billed as a speedy edge rusher and he has been. I don't think you can blame fans for expecting more when Floyd was as hyped as he was when he was drafted.
What compounds that feeling is when your DC comes out and says he wasn't impressed with the pass rush yet he left his best pass rusher sitting on the bench most of the game. So the actual criticism is being leveled more at that than it is Floyd himself.
