The Eagles D is much like the Texans? Jake Long was signed by the Bears and has been bailing out RT Massie? Is Ryan Mathews a solid RB running for 76 yards against what was the worst run D in 2015?
Does this guy actually get paid to write about sports?!?! Even if this guy is a homer, his football knowledge is a disgrace for Eagles fans.
The Eagles’ front seven hold the key to victory vs. Bears

On Monday the Eagles travel to Soldier Field to face the Chicago Bears. The Bears are coming off a tough loss to open the season against the Houston Texans.
The Bears seemed to be off to a decent start in their first game of the season. Ashlon Jeffrey had 105 yards on four receptions in the first half. Unfortunately, that was the end of that. Jeffrey didn’t have another reception the rest of the game.
The Texans defense stunted relentlessly and sacked quarterback Jay Cutler five times and tackled him 13 times.
Last week, the Eagles sacked RG3 three times and Jalen Mills tackled him hard enough to send him to the injured reserve.
The Eagles may not have JJ Watt, but they have Fletcher Cox. The Eagles front seven pressured the Browns offensive line aggressively last week and at times the Browns had to use seven blockers against four defenders.
The Bears offensive line isn’t as good as the Browns line. Yes, they signed Jake Long and Josh Sitton, but their Tackles are definitely a liability.
Bobby Massie and Charles Leno got beat repeatedly against the Texans, Jake Long has a lengthy injury history and can’t keep bailing Massie out of trouble.
Jeremy Langford rushed for 57 yards on 17 carries and a touchdown. Those numbers are nothing to be scared of. He will have to do much better if the Bears have any chance . Eddie Royal finished week 1 with 57 yards on 4 reception and a touchdown. These two scored the only points for the Bears last week and their numbers are far from impressive.
The Eagles defense, much like the Texans have a destructive front seven that will get after the quarterback. Cutler will need his makeshift line to keep him upright against the pass rush.
The Eagles corners will have their work cut out for them with Leodis McKelvin out. Leaving Jalen Mills and Ron Brooks to prove they have what it takes against Alshon Jeffrey who is 6′-4″.
Ryan Mathews should have a repeat performance, seeing as how the Bears have up 106 yards on 28 carries to Lamar Miller last week. The Eagles will utilize the change of pace backs with Mathews, Barner and Sproles to keep the Bears on their heels.
The Bears did grab an interception last week, as well as give one up as well. Wentz will need to stay perfect if the Eagles plan to beat the Bears.
Nelson Agholor and Jordan Mathews had great games last week and will need to continue to do so. Also, don’t count out DGB, he likes those end zone fade routes. Huff was quiet in week one and this may be his week to make an appearance.
The Eagles should be able to wreak havoc up front and take pressure off the corners. If the Eagles get to Cutler, they can win in decisive fashion.
