I am curious to see how team building changes over the next few years. Riding Goff's rookie deal will let them spend other places, but how much do you sink into Donald versus other positions, because at some point Gurley and Goff will come up for extensions.
Packers also will have to do some serious thinking about Rogers. Unless he gives a big discount he's going to take up a huge amount of their cap and they are already depth starved as it is.
With Mitch only in year two, Bears can actually take a risk in FA and 'over-pay' for a WR, G or CB as long as they structure the contract the right way. The key might be to not have any big contracts on the books when Mitch comes up. Having big FA contracts run out when Mitch is due would avoid dead cap space. So do you go for broke right now with Mitch under a rookie contract by adding expensive pieces while Mitch is cheap and then hope Mitch can carry an OFF while you retool with younger/cheaper pieces elsewhere.
