Laughably early to mock, what are the top 5-10 picks will change drastically between now and the draft, and all that will change as actual teams and GM's actually draft.
This is less mock and more thought process.
Current team needs
QB
Sorry Fields isn't it, there is zero reason he couldn't at least get close to 2900 yards passing. If you think rushing counts, see LJax at 1-4 in the playoffs now, rushing doesn't matter for qb's 100% teams will allow your not rb to run for 100+ if that means the qb isn't throwing the ball for 300-400.
They've likely already thoroughly scouting all the qb's in the draft, and those available in FA and Bagent. Who they pick, and where is likely going to come down to interviews and how well they receive the player and how well the player receives them. Just b/c they trade down, even into the mid-late rds, won't mean they are keeping Fields, could mean it; and they'll regret it, but it could also mean they want the haul + think they can get the qb they want there, ala Mahomes/Rogers/Love/Brees etc. A team w/enough talent to to support a qb is more important then a rookie qb itself.
Pick 1, or trade back there has to be a qb in the first.
Trading Fields, you aren't getting much; possibly a mid 2nd, there is no real value in him, he is a highlight real, but all flash no bang, might get lucky and find a team like the Panthers again who you can fleece, but it's not going to be a first, and probably not a 2nd, but one can hope since the team doesn't have one.
all first rd picks needs should go in order QB/DE/WR and/or OT. BJones didn't light it up, and got hurt, not exactly a recipe for 2nd year success for a non prime pick.
2nd if there is one can go OG/OC/WR(if you didn't take one in the first, there are always good ones in the 2nd)
3rd C, you NEED a C, get a starting one in FA, great, still need a drafted one.
4th-7th WR/TE/DB/LB/DL/OL
I won't move on this to much outside of thought processes, but there is no reason to think this won't be Poles/HH's thought. There is no reason to think Fields can make a huge jump in year four when he barely made a jump in year 3. the Def is set outside of 1 or 2 pieces, and neither might need to start day 1 if FA goes well.
This year has to be about getting the QB 1, right, and 2, surrounded by a legit OC and legit O talent that can help the qb succeed day 1; not get of the little bus and right into a smoking broken down bus.
This is less mock and more thought process.
