Two days ago, Clint Hurtt was reportedly joining the New York Jets’ staff. Instead, the Seattle Seahawks hired Hurtt as defensive line coach Friday.
Multiple media outlets reported the Jets were hiring Hurtt to replace fired outside linebackers coach Mark Collins, but NJ.com reports the two sides never came to an official agreement. Hurtt coached outside linebackers with the Chicago Bears last season, but he will switch to defensive line in Seattle.
Clint was well liked by the players and seemed to have had an impact on the development of Floyd last season. He will be missed.
