It's a gift they have here in Chicago.  Poles told us "We're gonna take the North and never give it back."  Unfortunately, all Eberflus heard was that "give it back" part - and he's trying his best to do just that at the end of these games.  Snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.  

I think he was referring to taking the North's cellar and never giving it back. He truly believes in building the foundation, where better to do that than in the basement?

So, if you keep this guy, and give him a stacked roster next year, he is still gonna fart away games and never be able to take you a deep playoff run.  That's the true litmus test--can you see Flus winning tight playoff games?

Its truely stunning. Every time he has a choice to make, he makes the wrong choice. Its like me trying to plug in a flash drive. I flip the stupid thing 4 times before I can get it seated. 

Doesn't matter if he trusts his gut or "the numbers," he makes the wrong choice. He needs to be like George Castanza and do the opposite of what he wants to do. It might work out better.

And I think MSM and the twitter guys feel bad for him because they are bending over backwards to defend this last one. They hammered him on the Hail Mary, but now they understand that its just not his fault. No matter what the options are, good, bad, neutral, he ends up with the worst possible outcome every time.

I almost feel sorry for the guy. He'd win back the whole city if he'd stand there at his next press conference and say "Well, Flus-ed that one. Our options were try for a few more yards or kick. We tried kicking last week and it got blocked, this week....well our guy fumbled/lost yardage/false start. Anyone got a suggestion for next week?"
