So far so good. I check the other board every so often and shake my head. No new posts, very little quality, much of the same old. If you go to the front page right now, beside the old thread I bumped for trolling purposes, there is no thread that was been started since Wednesday. Its going to fail as a forum, and that is on the moderators who couldn't/wouldn't enforce basic forum behavior.
I'm content here. The focus is on serious discussion and 99% of the posters understand the concept of discussion/disagreement. No one trolls which makes this place 100% better than the other.

I mean this as an absolute compliment ...
It is just a discussion board where Bear fans can come and talk about their team. And where there is respect for all opinions and levels of football knowledge.
Just a place to hang out.
It could use some amenities, like free beer or something. But you can't have everything.

For a brand new messageboard, I am amazed with the quality of what we already have here. What do you guys think so far?
Speaking strictly from a standpoint of simply one more guy posting it's like what I posted to you before. I think think it's great that we can open up and discuss and debate stuff again much like we used to without any personal attacks or troll posts or baiting another member just to argue or belittle him.
We can vent, have passion both positive and negative, and say what's on our minds in an open forum without any concerns about being badgered or harassed or called whatever stupid terms the reptilians who invaded DBS enjoyed doing so often. This is what is once was like there, we enjoyed it that way, and now we have it again.
From a staff and/or moderators perspective there is no moderating to be done. THANK YOU ONE AND ALL!

I enjoy this so much better. MY football knowledge is far inferior to all ya'll. I have mentioned it before but up here in Toronto the school boards have very little in the way of football and if there is it is of course CFL rules which when I was in school had no interest in. I find the comments from everyone very educational and in fact has helped me learn the game either from watching line play more closely or scheming play discussion. It got to a point where on the other boards I near feared to make a comment because I didn't want to get into an e-battle with someone because I did not dot my i's or cross my t's. Anyways thanks for bringing a normal, Informative, yet comical Bears board!!!! Love ya gys so I will have a beer on Soldiers field tomorrow night for all ya'll and chase it with some bacon. Hmm anyone know if I would be able to sneak a flask with me into the wrigley field tour? I can have a swig of whiskey on Wrigley for ya'll as well..

+1 I like how folks can debate ideas without making it personal. People here are mature enough to understand that just because another poster sees things differently, it is not an attack on the person. It's just discussing stuff with some give-and-take ideas. Nothing to get worked up about.
